The official Kiwanis year runs from October 1 to September 30. Our members elect leaders each spring who step into their roles the following fall. Tax laws require that we have a separate board and keep separate records for the Monterey Kiwanis Foundation (a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that you can read more about here), but the same slate of volunteers serves both the club and the foundation.
