How We Help

Charitable Organizations

The Kiwanis Club of Monterey Foundation is an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) charitable organization that raises funds throughout the year in order to then offer financial support to worthy non-profit organizations in and around Monterey. Our emphasis is always on projects and organizations that benefit children and youth. (We also select one promising student each year to receive a generous four-year college scholarship; you can read about the scholarship program here.)

The Foundation is governed by a volunteer board of directors who are all active members of the Kiwanis Club of Monterey. We are a strictly volunteer organization with no paid staff or salaried officers. All of the funds raised by and donated to the Foundation are used for charitable causes except for minor administrative costs.

You are invited to request financial support from the Kiwanis Club of Monterey Foundation by sending a letter that describes your project and the charitable organization it will benefit by email to monterey.kiwanis@gmail.com or to the following address:

Kiwanis clubs, located in 80 nations, help their communities in countless ways. Each community’s needs are different, so each Kiwanis club is different. By working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone. When you give a child the chance to learn, experience, dream, grow, succeed, and thrive, great things happen.
